EXPERT IN SCIENCE SUBJECTS

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Subjects Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students in various scientific disciplines, including but not limited to Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. The teacher will be responsible for developing comprehensive lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards for science education.

- Create a dynamic classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages student participation.

- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects; provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.

- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and needs.

- Encourage students to develop an interest in scientific inquiry and experimentation

- Organize and supervise lab activities and field trips to enhance students' practical understanding of scientific concepts.

- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to integrate science education with other subjects, promoting a holistic approach to learning.

- Maintain accurate records of student performance and report progress to administration and parents/guardians as required.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in science education to continuously improve instructional practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- N.C.E/Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics.

- Proven experience teaching science subjects at the [Basic/Primary School level/High school level etc.].

- Strong understanding of scientific concepts and current educational methodologies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance learning.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Experience with differentiated instruction and creating inclusive classroom environments.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- A passion for science and a desire to foster curiosity and excitement for the subject matter among students.
