Menu: Online Learning, then Course Category.

A category is the group a course sits in, such as Science or Languages. You can also add a sub category under an existing one.

Name: The category name. Required.

Category: Choose None to create a top-level category. Choose an existing category if this one should sit under it.

Icon picker: The icon shown with the category. Required.

Image: The category picture. Required.

Is popular: Tick this if the category should be highlighted as a popular category.

Click Save. The list on the right shows each category, its sub categories, and the date a sub category was added. Edit changes that category. Delete asks you to confirm, then removes it. Do not delete a category that still has courses.
