Academic Management

Manage academic introduction

This guide covers the third menu in the school admin sidebar, Manage Academics. Open it from the left menu (the graduation cap icon), then work through the items in the order below.

Use this section to build the school structure: classes, sections, subjects, the scheme of work, the weekly timetable, circulars, lesson videos, and a tool for removing student records in bulk.

Who can use it: the school admin account.

Create classes before sections and subjects. Teachers must already exist on the platform before you can assign a class teacher, a section teacher, or a subject teacher.

Contents

Suggested setup order

If you are setting up academics for a new session, use this order:

1. Student Classes, including the class teacher and capacity.

2. Class Sections inside each class.

3. Class Subjects, with the teacher who will teach each one.

4. Academic Syllabus, week by week, for the subjects that need a scheme of work.

5. Create Timetable, one period at a time, then Print Timetable to check and print it.

6. Circular, when you need a dated notice with a reference number.

7. Student Help Link, when a class needs a YouTube or Vimeo lesson.

8. Delete Bulk Data only when student records must be removed. Check the class and section before you confirm.
