Assigning task to student

This guide covers Student Task Manager in the school admin sidebar. Use it to give a group of students a task with a start date, an end date, and a progress percent.

Running Team Task

Menu: Student Task Manager, then Running Team Task.

Page title: Running team tasks.

The left side lists tasks that are still running. The middle of the page stays empty until you select one. If you have not added a task, it says you have not added any task yet. After you add tasks, it asks you to select one from the sidebar.

Click Add new team task.

Task name: Required.

Start date and end date: Required.

Assign students: Required. You can pick more than one student. Hold Ctrl and click to select several.

Task status: Running or Archived. Required. Choose Running for a task that should stay on this page.

Progress status %: The percent complete. Enter a number.

Click Save. The new task appears in the sidebar. Select it to open the task.

Archived Team Task

Menu: Student Task Manager, then Archived Team Task.

Page title: Archived team tasks.

This is the same layout for tasks whose status is Archived. There is no Add button here. Create the task on Running Team Task and set the status to Archived, or change it later.

If none are archived, the page says you have not added archived tasks yet. When some exist, select one from the sidebar to open it.

Suggested order

1. Add the task on Running Team Task and assign the students.

2. Open it from the sidebar and update the progress.

3. Set the status to Archived when the work is finished, then find it under Archived Team Task.
