Student Behaviour & Discipline

Record, assign, and monitor student behaviour incidents and disciplinary reports.

Student behaviour record

This guide covers Behaviour Records in the school admin sidebar. Use it to keep a list of behaviour types, assign them to students, and read one student's points.

Create the incident types before you assign them. A positive incident adds points. Tick Is this negative incident when the behaviour should take points away.

Creating incidents

Menu: Behaviour Records, then Incidents.

Page title: Incidents.

This page is the catalogue. Click Add incident.

Title: The behaviour name, such as Late to class or Helped a classmate. Required.

Point: How many points it is worth. Required. The lowest number is 1.

Description: What the behaviour means. Required.

Is this negative incident? Optional. Tick it when the points should count against the student.

Click Save. The list shows title, point, and description. Edit changes that incident. Delete asks you to confirm.

Assigning incidents

Menu: Behaviour Records, then Assign Incident.

Page title: Assign incident.

The filters at the top have no labels. The first box is the class. Choose Select, then a class. The second box is the section. It starts on Select section. Click Get students.

The table shows student name, class, section, gender, phone, and total points.

Assign opens the incident list. Tick the incidents that apply, then click Add. If none exist, the window says No Incidents Added and links you back to create them.

View shows what is already on that student: title, point, date, and description. Delete on a row removes that one assignment. If the student has none, the window says No Incidents Assigned.

Viewing behaviour reports

Menu: Behaviour Records, then Reports.

Page title: Incident report.

Choose a class, then a student, and click Get data.

The page shows three totals: positive points, negative points, and the overall total, plus a chart.

The table lists each assigned incident with title, point, date, and description. Negative rows are shown in red.

If the student has nothing assigned, the page says No Incidents Assigned.

Suggested order

1. Add the incident types, and mark the ones that are negative.

2. Assign them from the class and section list.

3. Open Reports when you need one student's points.
