Understanding the Gosfem Dashboard

The Gosfem dashboard provides a quick overview of important information about your school. It brings together financial records, students, staff, attendance, parents, inventory, polls, and other important school activities in one place.

The information displayed on the dashboard may vary depending on your user role, school configuration, academic session, and the data available in your Gosfem account.

Gosfem Dashboard Overview

The image below shows the main Gosfem dashboard and some of the information available to authorized users.

Academic Session

At the top of the dashboard, you will find the Session selector. This allows you to select the academic session you want to view.

After selecting a session, Gosfem displays information related to that academic session. This is useful when reviewing historical income, expenses, student records, inventory sales, and other session-based information.

Financial Summary Cards

The financial summary cards provide a quick view of important financial information for the selected academic session.

Total Income

Shows the total income recorded for the selected academic session.

Total Partial Payments

Shows the total amount received through partial payments recorded in the system.

Daily Income

Shows the income recorded for the current day.

Daily Partial Payments

Shows partial payments recorded for the current day.

Total Expenses

Shows the total expenses recorded for the selected academic session.

Total Invoice

Shows the total value of invoices recorded in the system for the selected session.

Daily Expenses

Shows expenses recorded for the current day.

Student Wallets

Shows the total amount available in student wallets based on the wallet records in Gosfem.

Student and Staff Summary

The dashboard also provides a quick count of students and staff in the school.

Total Students

Shows the total number of students registered in the school for the selected session.

Teaching Staff

Shows the number of teaching staff recorded in the school.

Non Teaching Staff

Shows the number of non-teaching staff recorded in the school.

Daily Inventory Sales

Shows the amount generated from inventory sales for the current day.

Today's Teaching Staff Attendance

This section provides a summary of teaching staff attendance for the current day. It shows the number of staff marked as Present, Absent, or Half Day.

Today's Non Teaching Staff Attendance

This section provides the same attendance summary for non-teaching staff. You can quickly see how many non-teaching staff are present, absent, or marked as half day.

Total Parents

The parents section displays the total number of parents recorded in the system. It also provides a breakdown by gender, such as male, female, and other where applicable.

Student Counts

The Student Counts table provides a breakdown of students by class. It can show the number of girls, boys, and the total number of students in each class.

Student Attendance

The student attendance section provides a daily overview of student attendance by class. It shows the number of students marked as present and absent for each class.

Income and Expense Summary

The Income and Expense section provides a monthly summary of financial activity for the selected academic session. The table can display income and expenses for individual months and provide a total at the bottom.

Income Expense Chart

The Income Expense Chart provides a visual representation of financial information. Depending on the available data, the chart can display income, expenses, student wallet amounts, and invoice values across the months of the academic session.

Inventory Sales

The Inventory Sales section provides a monthly summary of sales generated from school inventory. It displays the sales amount for each month and the total amount recorded for the selected academic session.

Inventory Items

The Inventory Items section provides an overview of inventory items registered in the school. It can show the purchase price and sales price of each item.

Polls and Quick Surveys

The Polls & Quick Survey section displays available polls or quick surveys configured for the school. This allows users to see surveys that may require participation or review.

Why the Dashboard Is Useful

The Gosfem dashboard is designed to give school administrators and authorized users a quick understanding of what is happening in the school without having to open every individual module.

Instead of checking financial records, student records, attendance, staff information, inventory, and surveys separately, the dashboard brings important summaries together in one location.

Dashboard Information May Change

The values displayed on the dashboard are generated from information recorded in Gosfem. If a particular section shows zero or no data, it may mean that there are currently no records available for that category, date, or selected academic session.

As new students, payments, expenses, attendance records, staff records, inventory transactions, and other information are added to Gosfem, the relevant dashboard summaries can be updated accordingly.

Dashboard information is intended as a summary. For detailed information or to make changes to records, open the relevant Gosfem module from the navigation menu. The information and options available to you may also depend on your user permissions.
